Spiritual Cleansing: Get the muck off you!

Image for spiritual cleansing blog
Ever been around someone, leave their presence, only to feel a heaviness, drained, or even depressed?  Or, maybe you have walked into a house and immediately feel the desire to leave.  You are not alone!  You are feeling the negative vibrations of that person, place, or thing.  If you are an empath, you will feel these effects stronger than most but you don't have to live that way.  We are susceptible to people's negative energy all the time and you don't have to live like a recluse to avoid it.  As a psychic and empathic person who comes in contact with others on a regular basis, either by phone or in person, I still feel the effects of that mucky feeling after I've come in contact with another.  So, I wanted to relay to you what I do to get rid of this awful feeling!

If the negative feeling is really strong and affecting me in a way that I feel depressed and want to hide from the world, I take a Spiritual Cleansing Bath.  The bath itself takes about 20-30 minutes.  Here's the recipe for lightening up that load you are feeling:

  • Take a full shower and wash your hair
  • Clean out your bathtub
  • Now, light a white candle.  I use this as a focal point in bringing in my intention to attract Spirit or Angels, from the highest realms.  Thank them for being there.  I ask Archangel Michael to assist in the cleansing of my spiritual body.
  • Fill the bathtub with water at a temperature that makes you comfortable.
  • Add a cup of epsom salt a cup of bicarbonate of soda to the regular bath water.
  • Get into the tub and focus on the candle and pray for assistance, again, to clear your spiritual body.
  • Immerse yourself at least 13 times under the water.  Keep focus of intent of clearing your spiritual body.
  • Continue to pour water over you and/or immerse yourself under the water.
  • When finished, get out of the tub and allow yourself to air dry.
  • Meditate for a few minutes and thank the beings for helping you.

If you have been feeling really low, prior to the Spiritual Cleansing bath, you may want to employ a healer to spend some time with you, just after the bath, and have them perform a energetic healing on you.  You don't have to do this but it really helps!

I would love to hear any testimonials if and when you try this technique.  It really works for me and I feel so energetic afterwards!  Wishing you love and light!  - Lori

I did some reiki healing after following the spiritual guidance of my counselor, Lori and I felt an unbelievable calm and sense of center afterwards and since. I can't really confess that I had made a connection with a spiritual presence or entity. My counselor however, explained to me that Arch Angel Raphael was present and hearing my prayers. I am sure God was there as well as he is everywhere. I felt very light and refreshed afterwards. Prior to going in I was very tense and upset about a life event that had been dragging me into a negative persona. I was starting to prey upon the innocent with negative energy and I was being quite self absorbed. After this experience I had found that negative energy is false and can be defeated through prayer, understanding, and healing. My healing was performed by Lori and I am grateful for this experience as it has enlightened me to my weakness for pride and misplaced anger. Thank you Lori..

Thank you Kim! I don't know how I could have forgotten to mention dead sea salt. You are correct in dead sea salt works wonders. You have to go a little out of your way to purchase it but it works. Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda) and Epsom Salt are easier to purchase because you can find these products at your local drug store or grocery store. I really appreciate your comment! Love and light, Lori

This is so true! I am personally striving to do this 'mental dialysis' on a daily basis. It's an exchange of negative thoughts for spiritual facts. Very cleansing and uplifting.

I love taking cleansing baths and do so often because I am an empath and the energy of others affects me so. My favorite is a bath with lots and lots of sea salt - dead sea salt in particular because it's detoxifying in so many ways to the body + it's chock full of minerals that are great for the skin. The muckier I feel, the more salt I put it. Normally I just get in and soak, but I will definitely try your method Lori - it sounds lovely!
