In the spirit of Valentine's Day coming up, most people have love and relationships on their minds more than ever. So, I wanted to address one of the most asked questions I get from clients: What is the difference between a Soul Mate and a Twin Flame? I have had many conversations with Spirit on this subject and I have learned that there are some similarities as well as differences between the two that I would like to clear up here. Soul Mates and Twin Flames represent different energies. Both indicate a partnership of sorts. A Soul Mate can be a partner for life but it does not have to be a romantic partnership. A Soul Mate connection can be a parent and child energy, a friend energy, a family energy, or two very unrelated people who team up for whatever reason. It can also be a romantic energy between two people who fall in love. The energy of a Twin Flame is one that is a mirror-image of you. A Twin Flame is one who finds the other half of what it is seeking in order to fulfill its life purpose. Twin Flame energy is not necessarily a partnership like a Soul Mate energy is, however, it can last a lifetime and be romantic all at the same time. It's more like coming together to fulfill a wholeness that is missing in potential or purpose. Twin Flame energy has a purpose to fulfill where one is not as powerful to fulfill its mission without the other. A Soul Mate energy may be a partnership for life but it may not result in anything else other than what it brings to both parties. A Twin Flame has purpose behind it, driving toward a larger goal. Sometimes Twin Flames are together in love. However, even if they are, the love component is there for the convenience of the bigger picture, something to be accomplished together. Soul Mates exist together just for the joy and life extension. Twin Flames exist together to accomplish something that neither could do alone and they also can be both! I hope this clears up the question. If you have any comments or questions regarding this post, feel free to comment here. Wishing you love and light, Lori |
